I asked this question previously but never received a clear and satisfactory
answer so I'll try it again.

We are currently running a dspace 1.4.2 instance on an Ubuntu machine with
tomcat 5.5, postgresql 8.3. We would like to move that instance to a new
machine also running Ubuntu, tomcat 6, postgresql 8.4. We are not currently
interested in migrating to the newer dspace version (though we will in the
future). We simply need to be able to "pick up" our current dspace instance
from one machine and put it on another machine.

What are the steps necessary to carry out this migration from machine to
machine?

Thanks in advance for all assistance.
