Brooklyn Law School is looking for a DSpace developer to coordinate the
installation, setup and design of a legal data repository. This person will be
a member of a project team and work closely with a web designer, content
experts, and a full-service IT department. The successful candidate should
possess knowledge of DSpace customization and design, installation, and
configuration. Responsibilities include designing, developing and testing data
retrieval and storage for this project.

Brief Project Description
This project will serve as a research repository of legal documentation for
particular subject matters; documentation will be added in multiple formats
including PDF, Word, .mvp, etc.; metadata will be added by content
contributors, documents and media will be uploaded to the database This is a
funded project. Target date to provide general access to end users is January
2011. The completed database should be open for further development based on
future needs
Required Qualifications:
Experience developing database-driven web applications
Experience with metadata standards
Relevant degree, or enrolled in a degree program, from an accredited college or
university.
Willingness to work in a collaborative team setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment
Proficiency in XML, HTML, and CSS
Knowledge of PHP, Apache MySQL
