A periodic look at the DuraSpace website revealed that they are launching a hosted DSpace service, called DSpaceDirect, announced at the end of February, to start rolling out in March, and become generally available this summer. (http://www.duraspace.org/introducing-dspacedirect-right-away-repository-service)
There isn't much info available on the dspacedirect.org website at this time, and a web search doesn't turn up any more. I was wondering if anyone had more info, or perhaps intentions to pursue this "cloud" approach in order to offload your local site of the burden of supporting a local implementation of DSpace? If going that route, could you share factors or generalized costs contributing to that decision? thanks, Richard Sims Sr. Systems Engineer, Information Services & Technology Boston University ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Own the Future-Intel® Level Up Game Demo Contest 2013 Rise to greatness in Intel's independent game demo contest.
