A periodic look at the DuraSpace website revealed that they are launching a
hosted DSpace service, called DSpaceDirect, announced at the end of February,
to start rolling out in March, and become generally available this summer.

There isn't much info available on the dspacedirect.org website at this time,
and a web search doesn't turn up any more. I was wondering if anyone had more
info, or perhaps intentions to pursue this "cloud" approach in order to offload
your local site of the burden of supporting a local implementation of DSpace?
If going that route, could you share factors or generalized costs contributing
to that decision?

thanks,
