Hello,

I edited the xmlui.xconf and dspace.cfg files to enable Discovery.

I then edited the discovery.xml file adding new search filters.

I also added metadata elements to the existing Author and Title search bean
lists.

When I attempted to run /bin/dspace update-discovery-index, I received the
following error that starts with:

Failed to startup the DSpace Service Manager: failure starting up spring
service manager: Error creating bean with name
'org.dspace.discovery.configuration.DiscoveryConfigurationService' defined
in file [/var/data/dspace/config/spring/api/discovery.xml]:

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what may be causing this error?

How do I enable the spring service manager?

Thanks,

Michael
