Hi Grisel

Hello, i’m working with Dspace 3.0 for an Insitutional Repository, I’m a librarian, I don’t have programming knowledge.

I have begun with the Phd. Thesis, but sometimes, I have several problems, with the subject keywords. I have seen the list that it’s include in the Dspace but sometimes it’s not enough, there are some other topics that are not involve into the default subject categories.

dc.subject by default (in input-forms-xml) does  have  SRSC and/or NSI subject categories assigned (as an example of classification) . Removing
<vocabulary>srsc</vocabulary>   or NSI....   on appropiate places (a couple of lines)   leaves this field as uncontrolled-vocabulary, that is, free to use.

If you have another classification list , there are some options, the simpler would be create a your-category.xml   and modify dspace.cfg and input-forms-xml  to load  your file

best luck
Emillio Lorenzo

So, I will like to know, if there is anyway to add other categories.

Thank you so much, for your help, in advance
