Good morning,
I'm hoping to gather some information about typical staffing patterns for
local DSpace installations.
We have been managing a local DSpace installation for about three years. I
believe that we would be much better off with a a hosted solution like
DSpaceDirect. In making this case to my director, it would be helpful if I
could give him more information about staffing patterns at other
institutions.
For those of you who manage local installations, can you give me a sense of
how many staff are dedicated to support (ongoing system development,
support, and upgrades)?
Are there any of you working in small, liberal arts college libraries who
are hosting DSpace locally?
If you are using DSpaceDirect (and especially if you transitioned from a
locally managed service to a hosted solution) are you happy with your
decision?
Thank you!
Ellen
