Good afternoon,

anyone is kindly invited to join the monthly meeting of DCAT, the DSpace
Community Advisory team:
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/cmtygp/DCAT+Meeting+March+2015
Agenda

James Evans <https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/~james.evans> is working
with Duraspace on a roadmap for DSpace, from which the findings should be
presented at OR15. In this months call, we will try to see what the best
way is for DCAT to contribute to James's work.

As a second agenda point, the DSpace committers are currently discussing
the possibilities of switching to a unified UI for DSpace, and potentially
getting rid of JSPUI and XMLUI in the future. They are discussing this
in Brainstorms
on a Future UI
<https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Brainstorms+on+a+Future+UI>.
In the call we will attempt to identify if there are any requirements or
inputs the committers can still use in this discussion.
Preparing for the call

If you want to prepare your participation to the call or if you just want
to leave your opinion in the comments below please:

   1. If you were to be presented with a roadmap for DSpace today, which
questions or concerns would you expect to be addressed in there?
   2. Read Brainstorms on a Future UI
   <https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Brainstorms+on+a+Future+UI>,
especially the section "What makes a good UI (framework)? What common "use
cases" do we need to keep in mind?"

We hope many of you can join us for the call, but if not, please post your
comments on the meeting's wiki page.

Looking forward to a great discussion,

Bram Luyten and Maureen Walsh
DCAT Co-Chairs
