Hi Janet, yes and no. Apart from application profile discussion, dc.contributor(*) is hardcoded in many places search indices, crosswalks, sfxlink etc.
If you want to use dc.creator instead you got to change these too, to keep the default DSpace behaviour. This is a bit of work and it makes future upgrades and/or the use of addons more difficult. Hope that helps Claudia Jürgen [email protected] schrieb: > So does this mean dc.creator can be used then? > Janet > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Claudia Jürgen <[email protected]> > Date: Monday, March 16, 2009 3:07 am > Subject: Re: [Dspace-general] dc.creator "do not use" -- why? > To: Bram Luyten <[email protected]> > Cc: "Platt, Alice" <[email protected]>, "[email protected]" > <[email protected]> > >> Hi all, >> >> dc.creator is not used to store the information, who submitted an >> item >> to the repository.
