AN UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO THE PARTICIPANTS IN
ICAL 2009

A NOVAL WAY TO BUILD COLLECTIVE WISDOM

The ICAL 2009 is contemplating to have a brain storming session for IDEA
GENERATION in the middle of the technical tracks on the last day with a view to
give opportunity to the participants to place their views on what they think
should be part of the ROAD MAP to reposition the academic libraries in the
modern times using ICT tools and techniques.

This is essentially to enhance and enlarge the inputs which are expected to be
generated out of nearly 90 papers and some poster presentations that we have
planned for the conference. As it is natural that the thought process for idea
generation in the technical sessions tends to remain confined to the narrow
domain of the theme outlined for the session, there is a need to supplement it
with new ideas. In sum, the participants in the sessions do not get the
opportunity to exercise their mind to think big ideas and beyond the boundaries
of technical session. Hence, the need for brainstorming session for idea
generation.  It is going to give participants the platform to explore and
express out of box ideas in front of Indian and International experts to
discuss various issues in order to develop a framework of the ROAD MAP.

We invite participants to come prepared in this conference with new ideas,
probing questions and answers and to actively engage themselves in the planned
brain storming sessions.
