thanks for your quick reply. When I enter the URL http://api.creativecommons.org/rest/1.5 into a browser on the test server I get back "not found". I assume that means that some parameters are missing, but that at least the server is able to contact the CC API. The Tomcat localhost log mentions that it is assessing GET /submit/cc-license.jsp?license_url=http%3A//creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ HTTP/1.1" 200 250 When I enter the url http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ into a browser at the server, I can see the Creative Commons licence. So, I guess there must be something else going on, but don't know where to look for it.
