Hi Start by making sure it is configured to run by checking the settings in /path/to/dspace/config/modules/solr-statistics.cfg are uncommented.
Next it should just be a matter of initializing your stats by running: /path/to/dspace/bin/dspace stats-util (you shouldn't need to run solr-reindex-statistics on the first index). As far as I can remember, statistics will only show when logged in (you should have a button or link on the page with View Statistics).
