There's currently an open issue [1] with two pull requests [2][3]. As I don't know of any commiters who would be using CAS and thus able to test the implementations, we rely on you - the users - to report back what worked on you so that we can make the code part of DSpace (so that you don't have to download it separately next time).
That's why comments from both of you are valuable - tell us if it worked for you as is or if there are any issues to be fixed.
