I think I'm seeing a similar issue on DSpace 5.1.
I added a Discovery search filter for dc.date.accessioned (and forced a
reindex with `index-discovery -bf`), and when I search Discovery with
Advanced filters→Date accessioned→Contains "2016-09" I get results for
items which contain the following metadata for the dc.date.accessioned
field:
2016-09-09T12:22:38Z
2016-04-28T09:46:39Z
2016-08-09T09:01:13Z
...
Assuming I had searched for metadata containing "2016-09", some of the
items in the search results had metadata that matched my filter terms
exactly, and other items only matched part of my search (and therefore
should not have been returned at all).
My filter is defined like this:
<bean id="searchFilterDateAccessioned" class="org.dspace.discovery.
configuration.DiscoverySearchFilter">
<property name="indexFieldName" value="dateAccessioned"/>
<property name="metadataFields">
<list>
<value>dc.date.accessioned</value>
</list>
</property>
</bean>
Should I file a bug report?
Thanks,
