when searching in JSPUI search for: <BLANK> Filter: Title contains TEST
Sort By: Relevance Order: Descending <http://demo.dspace.org/jspui/simple-search?location=&query=Test&filtername=title&filtertype=contains&filterquery=Test&rpp=10&sort_by=score&order=desc> | Ascending item results are sorted in the same way - the sort order makes no difference when sorting on title, sort order has an effect, see sortby Title <http://demo.dspace.org/jspui/simple-search?location=&query=Test&filter_field_1=title&filter_type_1=contains&filter_value_1=Test&rpp=10&sort_by=dc.title_sort&order=ASC&etal=0&submit_search=Update> when instead searching for TEST across fields, item results are sorted differently as well search for: Test Sort By: Relevance Order: Descending <http://demo.dspace.org/jspui/simple-search?location=&query=Test&rpp=10&sort_by=score&order=DESC&etal=0&submit_search=Update> | Ascending The XMLUI does not offer an ascending/descending option for Relevance sort order. It seems that there is something going on with the edge case where there is no general search term and sorting is done by relevance. What is going on with Relevance sort order ? Is there a fine point that I am missing OR is this a bug ?
