Hi all, I'm just testing the migration of a whole community to it's own instance. Working with the Simple Archive Format migrate and import (DSpace 5.6 JSPUI).
Noting that only part of the imported items got a dc.date.issued set I found that this is intentionally: https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/master/dspace-api/src/main/java/org/dspace/app/itemexport/ItemExportServiceImpl.java#L306 dc.date.issued is only kept if different from dc.date.accessioned but no new dc.date.issued set if they are equal. This might depend on how the items and with which version of DSpace they got into the system (automatically set timestamps with time granularity). I simply wonder what is the reason behind this, it makes no sense to me and looks more like a bug than a feature.
