We noted that our connection pool got exhausted and even after a restart of the servlet container the idle in transaction processes piled up again quickly leading to the next exhaustion. At a quick glance this seems to have been due to the fact that www.google-analytics.com was unreachable, the connection from the GoogleRecorderEventListneer failed and the requests were aborted, but the db connection not freed.
