I have one problem. I deployed a Dspace 5.6 in a server. The "speed" its good. When I make a search I receive results quickly. The problem is when I can access to bitstream(pdf file, for example). When I pick the "View/Open" button(Rigth now is "Visualizar/Abrir", I working in spanish language), the delay to see document almost always more than a minute. I installed another DSpace 5.6 in my personal computer(Microprocesor Intel I5 4rd gen, 4 GB RAM), and the result its the same. I can access very quickly to all the DSpace functionalities, except when I tried see the document(bitstream). I tried with different re-indexing modes, in DSpace command-line, but I dont received any improvement. I increased the Java memory too... Desplegué un DSpace 5.6 en un servidor. La velocidad de respuesta es muy buena. Cuando realizo una búsqueda devuelve resultados muy rápidos, o cuando accedo a cualquier parte del sistema. El problema está cuando intento ver un documento(el fichero .PDF o .DOC, etc). Cuando doy click sobre el botón "Visualizar/Abrir"(en la vista del ítem), para ver el documento demora varios segundos(20, 30... incluso a veces más de un minuto). Instalé otra versión de DSpace 5.6 en una PC local(Microprocesor Intel I5 4rd gen, 4 GB RAM), y el resultado es el mismo. Puedo acceder rápido a cualquier funcionalidad del sistema, pero demora muchísimo al intentar ver un documento. Probé con diferentes vías de reindexado, usando la línea de comandos de DSpace, pero no mejora. También aumenté la memoria del Java y lo mismo.
