Here is a brief document I wrote up for my institution explaining what I knew at the time about DSpace statistics. While it won't give you a solution to your problem, I hope it provides you with the information you are looking for. Statistics There are two sets of statistics, the legacy stats and SOLR stats. Legacy Stats: The legacy stats are populated from the DSpace log files by running a daily cron job. They are accessed on the "/statistics" page. This page is not populated (*by default*) because the commands have been deprecated. *The reason they are no longer recommended is because they stopped updating the Java source code for this method a long time ago and it will no longer give accurate statistics.* SOLR Stats: These work a lot differently than the "legacy stats", they show different statistics depending on where you were when clicking on the statistics module link. The SOLR module comes with three parts: - The "Page View/ Download Statistics" which you can view by selecting the link in the sidebar titled "View Usage Statistics". - The "Search Query Statistics" which you can view by selecting the link in the sidebar titled "View Search Statistics". - The "Workflow Event Statistics" which you can view by selecting the link in the sidebar titled "View Workflow Statistics". Page View / Download Statistics: - From the home page, you are only presented with the top 10 most popular items of all time. - From a community or collection page, you get the total visits to that page, the visits over the past seven months, top 10 views by country and city. - From an item page, you get the total visits of the item, the total visits for the bitstreams attached to the item, visits over the last 7 months, and top 10 countries and cities. Search Query Statistics: - From all pages but an item page, you are presented with the top search terms and total number of searches for the entire repository. - You cannot use this module when on an item page. Workflow Event Statistics: - From all pages but an item page, you are presented with the number of each workflow step that has been performed in that area (repository, community, collection). - You cannot use this module when on an item page.
