Hello, DSpace does not provide this feature out of the box. You can either access restrict the entire file, or allow access to the entire file. There may be third-party document viewer tools that could achieve this, but I'm not aware of any myself.
Another way to potentially achieve this may be to access restrict the entire document (e.g. PDF), and create a derivative, "preview" version (smaller PDF) which is open but only includes the first few pages of the entire PDF. This is not something that DSpace does by default, but you might be able to find third-party tools that would allow you to automatically create such derivative, preview documents. Good luck. Hopefully if others have done this before in DSpace they will speak up on this mailing list and/or share code. - Tim On Wed, Dec 27, 2017 at 3:17 AM Tran Huu Trung (TTTV.ICT) < [email protected]> wrote: > > We use Dspace 6.0 and wonder if can we allow anonymous user view limited > number of pages of restricted document?? > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "DSpace Technical Support" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to [email protected]. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/group/dspace-tech. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout. > -- Tim Donohue Technical Lead for DSpace & DSpaceDirect DuraSpace.org | DSpace.org | DSpaceDirect.org -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DSpace Technical Support" group.
