Hi Pablo, Unfortunately, DSpace's OAI-PMH interface does not support ResponseCompression at this time.
As noted in the OAI-PMH specification (which you linked to), that's an optional feature. If an OAI-PMH server does support compression, it should say so on the "Identify" response.
