Can you please let me know what might happen if we use the Docker image in production environment? What exactly do we fear ? I do not plan to use this in a production environment, but other people are asking me this query, Hi Ashim, Simply put, the Docker images have not been tested for production scenarios. Therefore, we (the DSpace developers) don't know whether they will perform well (e.g Postgres or Tomcat have not been optimized for performance in these Docker images) under a lot of user activity, and we have not run any production-quality security scan on the Docker images to ensure they are secure. At this time, as I noted, no one (that I'm aware of) is using these Docker images in Production. If you do plan to use them in production, I'd recommend first testing them for performance & security. It's always possible they will perform perfectly fine in production, but they have not been tested. So, currently, running them in production is at your own risk.
