Hello, At this time, the solution you linked to (https://dml.cz/handle/10338.dmlcz/142102) is unavailable out-of-the-box. That seems to be a highly custom solution.
However, in DSpace 7 (tentatively scheduled for mid-to-late 2020), organizing Journals as a hierarchy of volumes/issues/articles *will be possible* using the upcoming new Configurable Entities feature.
