Kia ora Jason, To customise the community banner, you should be able to login to the website as an administrator, navigate to the community, then in the menu click “Edit Community” and you’ll have some options there.
For the thumbnail image on the item it depends what you want to do and what version of DSpace you’re running (especially whether it’s JSPUI, XMLUI, Mirage2, etc). For example we have DSpace 5.8 running XMLUI/Mirage2, and we can edit how the thumbnail is displayed in the files: · /dspace/webapps/xmlui/themes/Mirage2/xsl/aspect/artifactbrowser/item-view.xsl (for the actual item page) · /dspace/webapps/xmlui/themes/Mirage2/xsl/aspect/artifactbrowser/item-list.xsl (for search results and community/collection/browse results) You’ll probably need to get some familiarity with XSL to edit this, especially depending how complex you want to get.
