Dear All, We are running DSpace 6.3 XMLUI Mirage2. This issue was brought up to me by a repository manager in one of the repositories that I'm maintaining. At first I thought this is just a simple configuration change in the discovery.xml but it turned out that our own repository is also having the same issue.
According to the documentation of Discovery, the date facets are automatically grouped together, usually by decades. See screenshot below: If I click the facet 2010 - 2020 which contains 362 items, we expect that it will display each individual year from 2010 to 2020. However, since I assume that the default maximum values to display in the date facet are 10, not all the years from 2010 to 2020 will be displayed since this date grouping contains 11 years. Please note that I intentionally changed my setting in the discovery.xml to use "VALUE" instead of "COUNT" in the sortOrderSidebar of the bean searchFilterIssued hoping that it will show all the years alphabetically. But as you can see in the screenshot above, although it is sorted in descending order, the year 2020 is missing. Is this a bug? I think there should be a "… View More" for this sidebar facet just like in the other facets where you can set the facetLimit but according to the discovery documentation, facetLimit property will be ignored if the filter has the type date. I am aware and assumed that this issue will resolve in the long run if there will be publications dated 2021 since it will automatically group dates by decade (eg 2010-2019 and 2020-2021), but right now, is there a way to resolve this? I just can't wait for 2021 for this to resolve and I'm sure the person who informed me with this issue will not be pleased if I told him to just wait for 2021 in order for this issue to be resolved.
