Good day After alot of digging, the solution was to go into admin mode in dspace-cris, edit the researchers public profile, go edit Profile, select editing on the Profile box, edit ORCID box and change custom rendering to: <a target="_blank" href="http://orcid.org/{0}">{0}</a>
