Hello everyone. We need to migrate the contents of a collection in our dspace instance to a different instance of dspace, active in a different institution/different ip address/different domain.
Is it possible to do it keeping unaltered the handle of all items? We need to be able to add items to our dspace instance but we want the migrated items to be reachable with the handle the already have. The final state would be some 2000 items in one instance of dspace, some other 10000 items in another different instance, all with the same handle prefix. Does the handle system consider such a scenario: one prefix shared between two instances of dspace? We should be able to update the registered information associated with the migrated handles to the new location but I do not know if it is possible for a limited number of items. Does anyone have an answer? Thank you all.
