Hello Dspace,

We have been running DSpace from the month of January 1, 2020 untill now in
this period we have a large number of log files, and we are making
statistics from it, but we have noticed that it is taking up a lot of space
on the server. We went to solve the problem by following the steps
mentioned by you in the following email
https://groups.google.com/g/dspace-tech/c/1h4e5KzjoyQ/m/L7565_nPIwAJ.

We have moved the log files to another directory and reduced the solr log
level in (dspace/config/log4j-solr.properties) to WARN. This allowed us to
have more space on the server, but we did not change the date the
statistics were read from the file (dspace/config/dstat.cfg) still in
January 2020 and when we ran the command to generate the statistics again,
the statistics for the months that were deleted files were not extracted
The summary for it.

The question here is, do we have to change the date of reading the
statistics to the date next month, every time we delete the log files? Or
is there another way to make the statistics dynamic and not delete its data
when runnig statistics command?

Best Regards
