I'm using dspace 6.3 presently. I would like to upgrade to dspace
7.4. My dspace 6.3 has a lot of customizations to all the code - the
api, the aspect area, and the xsl, everything. I know it would be
impossible to merge my changes to 7.4, so what I thought I do is start
with a clean 7.4 installation and then go one by one with my changes
and put them in this clean 7.4 installation. I remember doing this
when I moved from using Java Servlet pages to Manakin. Presently, I
don't have a server with all the software I need to run 7.4, and
actually in the future we are going to use kubernetes to deploy our
software, so what I thought I do is use Docker on my mac to do this.
I'm kind of new to Docker so my question may seem a bit naive, so
excuse me for that. But this is what I'm thinking:

If I could just get a dspace 7.4 docker image(s) to use that I could
then make changes to on my local machine and test, that would be
great. I think that eventually when that is complete, I can then use
kubernetes to deploy what I come up with. Does this make sense, and
where would I get the dspace 7.4 image(s) I need, both the backend and
frontend.

In looking at the instructions to get dspace 7.4 running with docker,
I'm unsure of what image(s) I will be using. I would like to start
with a 7.4 image of everything.

Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. And if you have
any questions, please ask.

Thank you!
-Jose
