Hi, You haven't provided much information about your setup. Assuming this is DSpace 7, then it's likely that an error is occurring whenever the link disappears. We'd need to see the underlying error message in order to determine the cause. I can verify though that this is not normal behavior and doesn't occur on our public demo site at https://demo.dspace.org.
