Hi Carolyn, Both the EPO and ArXiv search options seem to be working well on the Demo Site (https://demo.dspace.org/), though that is currently running 8.0. It is always possible that we fixed some bugs here that may be occurring in older releases, so you could look to upgrade to either 7.6.2 or 8.0 (the 7.6.2 release includes a large number of bug fixes backported from 8.0).
You also could use the Troubleshooting guide to see if you can locate the cause of the error (i.e. detailed error message). It could be that you are hitting an undiscovered bug, in which case the detailed error message should be reported in a new ticket. https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error#Troubleshootanerror-DSpace7.x(orabove) It is also possible to *disable* any of these import metadata options that you don't want to use.
