I'm trying to make sense of solr queries for activities of a specific item.
In the GUI the statistics for item a86174c2-8007-4a1e-8f73-83e7bd2ed6a4 or 2224 are as follows: Total visits 702 Total visits per month December 2024 3 January 2025 10 February 2025 16 March 2025 14 April 2025 0 May 2025 0 June 2025 0 File Visits NAICKERL_2016.pdf 3724 NAICKERL_2016.pdf(legacy) 901 curl -g " http://localhost:8983/solr/statistics/select?q=type:2+AND+id:2224&rows=0" gives me the same number of total visits, and curl -g " http://localhost:8983/solr/statistics/select?indent=on&start=0&rows=0&facet.range=time&q=id:2224+AND+type:2&facet=true&facet.range.start=2024-12-01T00:00:00Z&facet.range.end=2025-06-01T00:00:00Z&facet.range.gap=%2B1MONTH " gives me the same numbers for the monthly facets. File visits have me stumped: curl -g " http://localhost:8983/solr/statistics/select?q=type:0+AND+id:2224&rows=0" or curl -g " http://localhost:8983/solr/statistics/select?q=type:0+AND+bundleName:ORIGINAL+AND+id:2224&rows=0 " both result in "numFound":0 How does the GUI get those numbers? I've not been able to find the query in the solr.log. Also, the item has a UUID, which solr seems to be using since upgrading to DSpace 7. So adding it to the queries changes the numbers: curl -g " http://localhost:8983/solr/statistics/select?q=type:2+AND+(id:a86174c2\-8007\-4a1e\-8f73\-83e7bd2ed6a4+OR+id:2224)&rows=0 " "numFound":716 curl -g " http://localhost:8983/solr/statistics/select?indent=on&start=0&rows=0&facet=true&facet.range=time&facet.range.start=2025-01-01T00:00:00Z&facet.range.end=2025-07-01T00:00:00Z&facet.range.gap=%2B1MONTH&q=(id:a86174c2\-8007\-4a1e\-8f73\-83e7bd2ed6a4+OR+id:2224)+AND+type:2+AND+isBot:false " "2025-01-01T00:00:00Z",10, "2025-02-01T00:00:00Z",16, "2025-03-01T00:00:00Z",14, "2025-04-01T00:00:00Z",0, "2025-05-01T00:00:00Z",2, "2025-06-01T00:00:00Z",3 According to the solr.log, both the id and the UUID are being used, e.g.: 2025-06-02 14:00:54.997 INFO (qtp1414845278-26) [ x:statistics] o.a.s.c.S.Request [statistics] webapp=/solr path=/select params={facet.range=time&q=id:+00033cd7\-1745\-43e2\-b6c9\-ade36b114dff+AND+type:+2+AND++ *(id:a86174c2-8007-4a1e-8f73-83e7bd2ed6a4+OR+id:2224)*&facet.limit=10&f.time.facet.range.gap=%2B1MONTH&f.time.facet.range.start=NOW/MONTH-6MONTHS&f.time.facet.range.end=NOW/MONTH%2B1MONTH&facet.mincount=0&fq=-isBot:true&fq=-(bundleName:[*+TO+*]-bundleName:ORIGINAL)&fq=(time:[2024-12-01T00:00:00.000Z+TO+2025-07-01T00:00:00.000Z])+AND+-(statistics_type:[*+TO+*]+AND+-statistics_type:view)&rows=0&facet=true&wt=javabin&version=2} hits=0 status=0 QTime=1 So why are May and June numbers missing from the result? I'm also confused about what that first UUID is in the query: q=*id:+00033cd7\-1745\-43e2\-b6c9\-ade36b114dff* +AND+type:+2+AND++(id:a86174c2-8007-4a1e-8f73-83e7bd2ed6a4+OR+id:2224) I have to remove it to get the query to produce results. So many questions; I hope someone can shed some light.
