Hi Domingo, I'm not familiar with the instructions you linked to. However, I wanted to note that DSpace supports Matomo out-of-the-box as of DSpace 9.0. See the documentation at https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC9x/Matomo+Integration
So, another option for you would be to upgrade to DSpace 9.x (currently the latest is 9.1), as that will give you Matomo support.
