The only overwritten file I can see is src/org/dspace/core/Constants.java. I haven't looked closely at the add-on mechanism recently, but it would be better if mods to existing files could be avoided. That's unfortunately the way of the world with add-ons, and will only be solved when/if the code gets moved into the DSpace trunk. If you do install this add-on (or any other), I'd recommend emailing the author to let them know. The more people using an add-on, the stronger the case for moving it into the DSpace trunk (if that's what the add-on author wants). I don't know for sure, but it looks like it discards hits from spiders, and has a tool for keeping the list of spider IPs up to date.
