You don't need any special postfix configuration for DSpace. All you
need to make sure is that it's configured to relay mail to any domain
(assuming you're allowing users to register with arbitrary email
addresses). Something you may want to do is restrict it so that it
will only send mail originating from localhost, but all of these
things are better documented elsewhere. You may also find that an
alternative MTA like exim or qmail is easier to get started with, but
how easy it is can depend heavily on how well it is supported by your
distribution (assuming you're running linux).
