OK, sounds like you're one step closer at least! You can find out the email of the administrator you created using psql on the dspace database and performing this query: - select p.email from eperson p, epersongroup2eperson g2p, epersongroup g where g2p.eperson_group_id=g.eperson_group_id and g.name='Administrator'; If there's nothing in the eperson table, then the createadminstrator script didn't work properly.
