If you are using Oracle you might want to look at the following patch...

The patch works on the subversion trunk revision 1734 so you may need to
bring the relevant OAI files...
config/template/oaicat.properties
src/org/dspace/search/Harvest.java
src/org/dspace/app/oai/DSpaceOAICatalog.java
src/org/dspace/app/oai/OAIDCCrosswalk.java
...up to that revision first.

We have dspace 1.4 running.
As far as I know there are no changes that affect the OAI harvesting.
Any tips anybody where I shouold check for what ?

The
message included in the error response was: 'The combination of the values

the from, until, set, and metadataPrefix arguments results in an empty
list.'

less stringent tests than this validation service but provides a very
