Are you using Windows, or Unix?

If you are using Windows, you will need to create a 'share' with the correct
permissions. ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304040)

If you are using Unix, you can use something like NFS
(http://nfs.sourceforge.net/)

Thanks,

Stuart
