Last week I installed Dspace 1.4.2. Since that moment submitting is
impossible because no data is written to our Postgresql database.
Submitting failes in the second 'Describe' form when clicking on the
'Next>' or 'Cancel/Save' button. A message appears ('You must enter a
main title for this item.'). From this I conclude that no data is has
been written.
Strange thing is that the same Dspace version with a copy of our Dspace
production database works well on my Windows XP Home laptop (java
runtime version 1.6.0_02). No problems with submitting on this machine.
Did this problem occur to somebody? I am trying already for 2 days to
figure out what causes this.
We use:
- java runtime version 1.5.0_06-b05
- ant 1.6.2
- apache-tomcat-5.5.16
- PostgreSQL 8.1.9
- Postgresql-8.1-405.jdbc3 driver
- Redhat 9
