Hi,

As a relative new user of DSpace one of the things I am struggling with is
how to use the limited DSpace subset of Dublin Core in a future proof way so
that we do not have to improve the metadata at a later date. For example I
am sure that we will want to add version information ( pre-print,
post-print, publishers pdf with date of version).

I guess that other people have also been through this loop so I was hoping
that you might share the details on other fields you have added.

I also came across the work done by UKOLN on a 'A Dublin Core Application
Profile for Scholarly Works' at
http://www.ariadne.ac.uk/issue50/allinson-et-al/ and wondered if anyone was
planning to use a similar model in DSpace and how long it would take before
the extra information was used by data harversters?
