So after much looking about and a bit of help from Peter van Wonderen who
noticed my problem, we've discovered that DSpace is doing something odd with
the advanced searches. Has anyone else had DSpace adding in characters to the
search criteria in the advanced search?
This works:
http://www.uleth.ca/dspace/simple-search?query=%28%28test%29%29&from_advanced=true&query2=&field1=ANY&conjunction2=AND&query1=test&field2=ANY&query3=&conjunction1=AND&field3=ANY
But for some reason, DSpace adds %2528%2528 to the start and %2529%2529 to the
end of the search.
http://www.uleth.ca/dspace/simple-search?query=%2528%2528test%2529%2529&from_advanced=true&query2=&field1=ANY&conjunction2=AND&query1=test&field2=ANY&query3=&conjunction1=AND&field3=ANY
The only thing I can see is that the virtual mapping from
http://www.uleth.ca/dspace to the actual server is causing odd input? Has
anyone else encountered this or had any problems similar to this and been able
to overcome them?

Subject: [Dspace-tech] Advanced Search no longer working?
I know I've probably overlooked something. The only change I've made to
the server was that the handle-server is now up and running. So I'm not
sure why, but a simple search works, advanced search produces no
results. Does anyone have any suggestions, other than re-indexing,
shutting down and restarting tomcat? I've done all of that without
success.
