Just briefly reporting that my experiments with Dspace & Manakin over Jetty has been a success. It seems that DSpace runs significantly faster on Jetty v6 than Tomcat v5. We've also gotten rid of nasty crashes that occurred occasionally when the system was under heavy load with lots of user activity.
