While testing DSpace I ran into some issues with diacritics displaying
incorrectly in Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, and Safari.
I'd like to suggest removing Verdana from the list of fonts in the
font-family attribute in the DSpace cascading style sheets
(styles.css.jsp specifically, I think) for reasons outlined here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verdana#Combining_characters_bug.
It seems Opera and Internet Explorer compensate for the font, while the
other browsers do not.
