Hi Billy, You do not need to use Apache with a "default" Dspace installation. In step 3 you say you receive an Apache Test page at http://localhost:8080.
Typically you should receive a Tomcat page at that URL. Either setup Tomcat to run on port 8080, or if Tomcat is running on another port (for example port 8181) then go to http://localhost:8181/dspace Note: If you want Tomcat to run on port 8080, you will need to get Apache to stop using it first. Tomcat and Apache will not share the same port.
