Hello everyone, Now that the very successful user group in Rome (congratulations to all concerned) is but a memory, it's time to turn our attention towards the next DSpace user group.
This will be held as part of the Open Repositories conference in Southampton from the 1st April 2008, with the DSpace sessions held on Thursday 3rd and the morning of Friday 4th. On Friday afternoon there will be an OAI-ORE meeting that most of you will probably want to attend, but if not, there will be an open forum for people to discuss any issues with DSpace. I will be the Chair for the DSpace programme, and would like to invite you to submit papers to be presented as part of the user group. Please follow the submission guidelines for the general conference - to quote: "The submissions should be of up to 4 pages in length and in any suitable layout. Submissions must be in PDF or HTML format. Please note that the page length is not critical for the submitted version; the intention is to give you enough space to explain your contribution" For more details: http://or08.ecs.soton.ac.uk/cfp.html You can submit your paper now using the EasyChair Conference system: http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=OR08 When submitting papers for the DSpace user group, please use the category: ~ DSpace meeting Important Info -------------- The deadline for submitting papers is Monday 21st January 2008. Notification of acceptance will occur by Friday 1st February 2008. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
