If the presentation is to be served from DSpace then DSpace needs
support for additional protocols.  Otherwise every user will have to
keep a pack of cards around so he has something to do until the entire
video has downloaded and frame 0 appears.

What we'd likely do here is to put both into DSpace: the stream
pointer (for people who want to view it the same day they request it)
and the actual content (for specialized uses, and to ensure that we
have a well-labelled copy).  We'd also prefer to use a streaming
server that we control, so that our retention policies can be
enforced.  We're setting one up now.  We've looked at using another
unit's streamer, but that service is really for more ephemeral stuff
and I don't think it's considered a serious alternative at this point.
