We want to incorporate mets, mods schema into Dspace, the documentation
+my understanding of dspace has me scratching my head on how exactly
this works. Just to make sure I understand what I am reading is that you
first create a new metadata schema from within the dspace-admin, then in
the dspace.cfg you attach this schema to a collection, this does not
sound like a simple task for the average dspace admin, am I missing
something or is this the correct understanding of how Dspace handles
mets,mods? I am a Network/Systems guy so I would probably be the one
configuring this most of this. We are currently using version 1.4.2. If
there is anyone experienced in this type of setup we would be very happy
to talk with you. We have a major grant to establish a large DA project
and have a budget for consulting. We will also be looking for an
experienced Dspace programmer very soon.
