Hello Sofia, We (Kristine Fallon Associates, Inc.) worked with the Department of Architecture and Design at the Art Institute of Chicago to create an archive for digital design data (such as CAD files, animations, presentations), called "DAArch" (Digital Archive for Architecture System). We created a custom Web interface and a programmer at the Art Institute created the "middleware" to use DSpace as a storage repository for the bitstreams and to use "side tables" in PostgreSQL for the metadata. DAArch uses about 150 fields from the CDWA. The fields that match the Dublin Core are mapped into DSpace.
We just opened a demonstration site where you can see and use DAArch. The URL is http://daarch.kfa-inc.com . DAArch was done as open source, so it is freely available.
