We have been looking at ways to improve DSpace performance since we have
been experiencing poor performance on our Browse options in version
1.4.2. A User emailed me yesterday that performance was really, really
bad and I found 34 postgreSQL connections, some of them more than 2 days
old. I had to stop our web server and restart postgreSQL in order to
clear these. Has anyone else experienced this problem and, if so, is
there anything we can do about it?

Thanks in advance,

Sue
