Hello

I also saw this problem with the new Manakin client. I knew it wasn't
my tomcat / Postrgres set up, as it worked fine with the JSP client. I
thought it could be Cocoon so I did a quick google search and found the
following article:

http://hcmc.uvic.ca/blogs/index.php?blog=11&p=1486&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1
<http://hcmc.uvic.ca/blogs/index.php?blog=11&p=1486&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1>

I changed the container-encoding from UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1 in the main
web.xml as follows:

<init-param>
  <param-name>container-encoding</param-name>
  <param-value>ISO-8859-1</param-value>
</init-param>
<init-param>
  <param-name>form-encoding</param-name>
  <param-value>UTF-8</param-value>
</init-param>

And it worked. My £ signs are displayed correctly.

George
