Hi all,

apologies for cross-posting.

With 1.5 DSpace took a great step forward. It's adoption increased and
there are now over 300 repositories in 52 countries with approx. 2.5 mio
documents.

Unluckily the wide adoption is not quite reflected in the translations
available. It's quite a lot of work to translate a complete version of
DSpace (both jspui and xmlui). So a BIG THANX for all of you who shared
their translation efforts. An overview of existing translations is
available at
http://wiki.dspace.org/index.php/I18nSupport#Available_translations_of_Messages.properties_for_JSP-UI
http://wiki.dspace.org/index.php/I18nSupport#Available_translations_of_messages.xml_for_XML-UI

If you're working on a translation at the moment please share you're
work at
http://wiki.dspace.org/index.php/I18nSupport#Translation_work_in_progress
so others might join their efforts with yours.

A list new tags for 1.4.2 -> 1.5 translations of JSPUI is available at
http://wiki.dspace.org/static_files/5/5d/NewTags142To15.txt
This might ease the effort of updating any existing 1.4.2 translation.

Apart from the DSpace translations please communicate other i18n efforts
like translating tutorials and so on to the community.

Sunny greetings

Claudia Jürgen
